Cari ospiti del Trentino,
veniamo tutti da mesi di indicibile fatica dentro i quali cominciano ad aprirsi piccoli spiragli di normalità. Nel lascito di sofferenze difficili da sanare e nella troppa incertezza ancora diffusa, emergono segnali di speranza.
Dopo mesi invernali in cui la macchina turistica è rimasta al palo, con conseguenze economiche pesanti per molte famiglie legate a doppio filo al lavoro stagionale, la terra che vi ospita guarda ora con maggiore ottimismo all’estate.
L’emergenza ci ha confermato quanto la nostra vita e il nostro futuro camminino insieme: nel darvi il benvenuto, permettetemi allora di dire grazie anzitutto a voi, perché è anche merito della vostra presenza se il Trentino può, finalmente, ritrovare una boccata d’ossigeno.
Auspico di tornare a condividere il dono di un ambiente capace di restituire aria buona al nostro fiato corto e una luce nuova alla vista annebbiata: un privilegio di cui non sempre siamo consapevoli.
Ma a voi ospiti e a chi è chiamato ad accogliervi auguro, soprattutto, un’estate in cui possiamo riassaporare la ricchezza impagabile di momenti di socialità e di fraternità, da più di un anno impediti dall’emergenza. Sarà la conquista più bella, il soffio dello Spirito più atteso e gratificante. E solo insieme, guardandoci negli occhi, torneremo davvero a respirare!

“Let us breathe again! Together”
Dear guests of Trentino,
We have all experienced months of unspeakable exhaustion, but now we can again glimpse some small glimmer of normal life. While what we have suffered is difficult to be healed, and even now too many uncertainties surround us, still hopeful signals emerge.
After a winter when the tourism sector has all but stopped, thus causing heavy economic consequences for many families depending almost exclusively on this seasonal work, the land which is your host looks now to the summer with increased optimism.
This emergency has confirmed to all of us how much our life and our future march together: by welcoming you, allow me to say first of all ‘thank you’, since it is also thanks to your presence if Trentino can eventually find a breathing space again.
It is my wish that we may share as before the gift of a region where we can get some good air to ease our hard breathing, and a new light to clear our foggy sight: a privilege we are not always aware of.
Especially, I wish to you, our guests, and to all who work to welcome you, a summer when we can taste again the treasure without price of the moments of being together as brothers and sisters, a treasure that had been hidden for more than a year by the emergency. That will be the most beautiful victory, the breath – so long awaited and gratifying – of the Spirit. And it will be only together, looking at each other in the eyes, that we will really breathe again!
